Jessica was borned in January 6, 1975 in McAllen, Texas, but was raised in Reynosa, Mexico.  Since she was a little girl-she always displayed a talent for dance.  She started dancing Ballet Folklorico when she was 5 years old.  Then she continued to explore the art of dance by creating her own choreographies to the latest pop music.
 
When she was around age 10, she continued her dance training by joining a prestigious dance Academy in Mexico where she learned Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hawaiian, Hula and many more.  In High School, her enthusiasm and desire to continue dancing helped create a Drill Team for the first time in the history of the school.  This helped her obtain a full dance scholarship to attend a College where she was part of their Dance Team and graduated with honors and with two degrees, an Associate of Science and an Associate of Arts.

She continued her education at Southwest Texas State University where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing.  Here she studied Modern Dance for two years and was a dancer and officer for Ballet Folklorico de SWT for two years.

After her college graduation she moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to her family.  Here is where Jessica discovered her love for Salsa.  Jessica became fascinated with Salsa Music.  A couple of years later, she began to take Salsa Classes and was part of several local dance teams.

In 2002, Jessica meets Joel and this is how Salsa Passion got started!
In their first year of dancing together, they became the “2003 Texas Salsa Open Champions” and competed as well as performed in the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress.  In 2004, she founded and created Salsa Passion Dance Company.  Since then they have also had the opportunity to perform in many world wide events such as the 6th, 7th, 8th & soon the 9th Annual West Coast Salsa Congress in L.A., 3rd & 5th San Francisco Salsa Congress, 2005 Boston Salsa Congress, and the 6th New York Salsa Congresses. 

Locally Jessica has participated in several news segments in Telemundo and Univision, music videos, and a commercial for the U.K. as well as many corporate events, charity events and festivals.  Currently, she holds a full time job in her business career as well as a full time job with her Salsa Passion Dance Company.
